Fantastic player, think he still has a lot to offer with the Europa League and all but couldn't call him for wanting more first team football.

Gareth Barry is basically the kind of player who if you don't rate after watching him play for your team, then perhaps Association Football isn't the sport for you.

He's my secret "best" player. Don't like to shout about the lad cos you get shouted down, but he's been utter quality for the most part. Class act. Still can do a job too. SO many times he's come on and steadied the ship or just started and shown his absolute quality. Be sad to see him go, but I reckon we're moving on and I doubt he'll have much of a shout here now.

I have a spreadsheet on our desktop named Clueless_Blerts.

If someone can't see what a good footballer Barry is then I insert a new row, add their name and press Save.

I find it a useful reference tool when it comes to deciding whether to take much notice of people or not.

I don't think we should be letting him go, but if he wants to go for first team football then it's hard to deny him it.

If he goes then it wouldn't be wise to sell McCarthy.
