Untwist your knickers...I was just saying how slow we played last weekend compared with the rest of the Prem. Of course Barry will not be a regular starter anywhere in the Prem these days,not even at West Brom. Fact is, Everton have got to start doing things quicker on the pitch...against teams better than Stoke we will simply be outpaced. Rooney can blast boss balls all over the pitch all day long, but its no use unless we have players able to outpace defenders and take advantage of Rooneys skill.

I was wary of him signing in the first place but after seeing him put in some serious shifts with us I was totally won over.

He was a bit of a scapegoat in bad times and Martinez favoured him too much but in general I believe he was a great addition for his time here.

Yeah I saw on BBC and I was sad too, hopefully he goes onto coaching and comes back to us in a coaching role as I reckon he could teach the youngsters a lot

I always thought he was the smartest player on the pitch when he played for us the last few years. Clearly not the fastest but a true professional, and always seemed to give his all.

I guess we do have a lot of depth at midfield and he wants to start. Would've been nice to see him break Giggs' record in blue.

Only player who should play football in a James Bond tux. Really liked him. Calm and composed and his biggest asset was his reading of the game and his passing, something none of Gana or Scneiderlin do. They both pass it sideways.
