These people have as much reason to speak up as any others, more so in fact, because of the past (and current) treatment of them.
I find it baffling how people can throw it all under the table really.
We are going round in circles.

There's a deep underlying feeling that it's unacceptable to be gay the western world over. Just like deep down many people sympathise with the EDL but wouldn't openly vote for them.
That is because we have had the better part of seventeen hundred years of society telling everyone that it is not only wrong, but criminally wrong and that there will be severe and eternal consequences for being gay, though.
People are not going to lose that reflex thinking for decades.
Not trying to make out I'm better because of it or anything like that, I just don't feel that way at all.
Why? You should feel better about it, the argument for being homophobic is nonsense (edit: unless you are a straight woman living in a very small society with low numbers of available men).
If I listed a job advert saying £10 p/h for whites and £7 p/h for blacks where in the world would that be legal?Yes, a few have made it. Comparatively though, the number is in the minority

Not really because it is illegal to pay people differently based on race or gender. You're still looking at individual situations rather than the larger picture.

It happens in a place with performance based bonuses and where a persons marketability is a factor I.E Hollywood! That Arquette bird needs to realise people want to see Tom Hardy, not her and suck it up.And yet it happens. Please don't deny that, you're an intelligent lad. Perhaps not at Tescos, in general.

Women statistically are more likely to need to take time off to care for children, that could be a factor."Supply and demand" for a better use of the term is a factor indeed, but what about lawyers, accountants, CEOs etc etc, women in these roles statistically earn less. I'm not in a position to drag up any stats at the moment, perhaps somebody could hook me up.
How far off topic have we gone now by the way? lol Sorry mods etc.
