To use a similar analogy, it drives me mad seeing women going on about equality but then having all manner of award ceremonies just for women. Equality comes through removing such categorizations, not creating them.

I feel like you're downplaying discrimination, or haven't grasped the concept of what it is and the history behind it.

For example, yes their might be discrimination against gingers, but it's not comparable to the slavery, humiliation, torture and loss of culture of black Americans.

Can't believe I have to simplify something like this.

You dont have to simplify anything. People like you seem to see the world lik e you're looking through a tunnel.
As for slavery,what in your eyes makes one slave trade worse than another in history? I feel you are discriminating against early slavery because it happened earlier in our history.

If it wasnt for irish taking english slaves, they wouldnt have st patrick.
