Trust the papers to try and sensationalise this to try and make money from it, pure snides. I'm going for Lallana.

exactly this. let's release this as a story and get everyone speculating!

i'm sure they'll be applauded when they next step on the pitch. you'd hope that'd be the case anyway. Just checking here, are they coming out as gay with eachother?

i dunno, but that would be amazing...imagine if it was a liverpool and man utd player...awkward

thing is, if they want to live their life the way any straight footballer does, i.e be seen out with their partner, bring their partner to world cups.. its difficult for them to do that without causing just as much fuss as if they did publically 'come out'

if they didnt publicize it, then they strolled out somewhere hand in hand with eachother. or they popped up with the rest of the wags in Brazil. theyd still be getting harrassed by newspapers for interviews and storys. Might even be a bigger fuss. youd have to be daft to think there wouldnt be a massive media storm, even if it was one with 'good intentions' (not that newspapers have any intention other than to make money)

And what's so 'brave' about being homosexual? The bigotry they face? Utter bollox. They're portrayed as positive (As Goat Jr's headline shows) in every light.

.

Mate, people still get beaten up and murdered for being gay. They face losing family and friends for coming out in many cases still. People make music openly calling for their murder.

To say homosexuals don't face bigotry is one of the daftest things I've read on GOT.

Good for them, when its finally said who they are, dont see a problem with it at all, hopefully said pretty quick, who they are, otherwise this will go on for weeks with people guessing.

No mate - it's not.

Because next thing is they'll demand a gay cheerleader group at h/t, and no doubt they'd shriek 'bigotry' if they didn't get approval.

Personally I'm not bothered what they are, but I neither want or need reminding that there are gay people almost every waking minute, and in every walk of life or category of media - I already know that. So what?

What next? The taxpaying football fans group? Save the whale group? Stamp collectors that were born in Tirana but moved as a baby group?

There's people on the dole whose only crime is they can't find work, and they face mass-media bigotry on a far greater scale than the gays.

Nobody calls them 'brave' ffs.

Whole thing's a bleedin' circus imo.

Rant over.

Straw man, over here. Set up your own arguments and then argue against them. 'The gays' bloody hell

Tbh and this is just how i feel; people saying 'nowt' do with me really shouldn't bother posting, just indivualisitc self-rewarding and those thinking gay football support groups is too much? christ almighty

Why do they have to come out? It's just sex, ffs. Might as well start doing interviews every time the next big star pops his cherry.

I'm not saying they should hide it from family and friends, but why drag it into the media?
