Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Deulofeu is starting to like it here ;)

Link

This is pretty funny considering a good friend of mine in Barca told me yesterday that he reckoned they might let him leave due to the success of Neymar.

From that link:

"Barcelona will never play like they did under Pep Guardiola ever again," he said, in an interview with Four.

"Tata Martino is doing a good job but it will never be the same as it was under Pep."

The Catalan prospect then revealed how much he is enjoying his experience of playing Premier League football and admitted the atmosphere at games in England is head and shoulders above La Liga.

"I feel fabulous," he continued.

"I relish taking to the field in the Premier League. If I were a supporter I would pay good money to watch it.

"The passion of the fans in England is spectacular and, to be honest, Spain cannot compete with it."

Deulofeu has made nine appearances for Everton this season, scoring once.

Interesting words.

Only because he plays for Barca. Sevilla, Betis and Atleti are the same level as us.

Get to [Poor language removed], lad.

Atletico are monsters, the rest are nowhere near a club like us.

They'll have bigger stadiums but the country is on it's arse so I bet their attendance is woeful.

yeah mate. Betis support is awful

Funniest thing I've heard all day.
I'm not saying they are better teams as in league positions, I'm just saying the support is similar, very passionate and sell out most aways.

They averaged 31,485 last season...which would be half decent if their stadium didn't have a capacity of 53'000.

Andalusian beauts.

Passionate and sell out most aways. They probably take one of the biggest followings in Spain.
Watch Sevilla vs Betis and you will see what I mean. Then go watch Barca, BIG BIG Difference.

Agree with this.

I'd say Valencia would be close to us though, not sure how close either way. The rest of the league is probably mid table or worse. Shocking league which has been ruined by the big two and their greed. I bet they can't wait to get out of it and into the impending European Super League.

yeah, I agree. I'm not talking about skill level though I am going on about support.

You do now that is a local derby, dont you ???

yeah, go watch Barca local derby, guarentee its not anything like that.

All i'm saying is he doesn't really know what good support is because he has only played for barca who lets be honest have not very good support. Attendance wise it is good but its not lively.

But you cant judge how good an away support is by its local derby support, mate.

I went to the Madrid derby the other week when Atletico won 0-1. They were 2nd in the league ahead of their biggest rivals. Atletico had less than 100 fans there . Might be down to the culture being different over there but there is no way any of those Spanish club have similar away support to us, or most of the other English clubs.
