Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Would love to see him under Martinez, at one point he made Victor Moses look like ****ing Messi. Do hope Barca would favor the Spanish connection and send him to Everton.

Don't care how good he is, if there is not a deal in place for us to sign him on a permanent basis if WE want then he can stay there, leave the loaning of players we can't have to Bolton and Wigan, not Everton football club.

Unbelievably naive quote there, he could be the difference between Champions league or Europa League for all we know.

If that is the case (long shot I know) then we are in the market for bigger fish because of his contribution, I for one will be ecstatic to see him as part of our squad even though its only going to be 1 year.

If it goes well at Everton then maybe we'll rub off on him as we tend to do with any player who pulls on the blue jersey, he'll always remember us if things don't go to plan at Barca ala Bojan, Tello, Cuenca

I see it as a no brainer

I think we all know how this will end.

He'll be lighting up White Hart Lane every other Saturday this coming season.

Oh well...

Watched a bit of him last night and he looks a good player. I have no problem with a season loan without a purchase agreement, if he helps get us champions league football we can go out and buy a pretty decent replacement with the money we will get.

Haha.... this...

Also, when spurs are involed they seem to work fast. A dea follows the same mantra:
Player linked-bid-player agrees terms-player signs.

The everton way:
Player Linked-other clubs enter the fray-everton medical-bill says he'll sign in 48hrs-2 weeks later club statement reveals he had dodgey overies.

Our transfer shenanigans stress me out.

I'd love this to happen. But it's Spurs all the way. He won't face defences like that in the EPL though...

Just taken Spurs 5 weeks to get Paulino sorted.

The reason he's being loaned is because they want him to have 1st team football and he will not get that at spurs, if he goes there he will be swapping low level football for a nice warm bench.

Yeah pretty sure we'd trump spurs in regards to minutes on the pitch. It's not like signing a player this deal, it's all about the lad getting first team football, which no doubt we'd be offering more of an opportunity than spurs. Having said that, this is the kind of deal/player that when he eventually gets a loan sorted, we will all be scratching our heads as he joins a team like crystal palace.

I wonder if he's matey with the lad who looks like he's joining Utd? Plenty of spanish players over the park who can help him settle if he comes here as well
