Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Not too sure about that mate, someone posted some direct quote from Barca that they expect him to return to their first team next season.

If we can't get him back, I'm quite confident we can get someone else on loan from their B team. Huge pool of talent in that team that could benefit us. Deulofue loan has been a great success for both clubs in many ways and I'm sure both clubs will continue in the future.

He's definitely coming back to Barcelona (Along with Rafinha who is on loan with Celta Vigo), this has been in the local papers for a couple of months now

I agree that future loans could be possible, especially with the disaster that is Eusebio with the B team, as few are developing as hoped there...Adama Traore or Dongou are possibilities perhaps

Let's be honest. No one knows if he'll be here or at Barcelona next season. Not even you FCBarca, the local papers saying it doesn't make it fact, neither does that thing on twitter 'barca stuff' no one knows. They can only guess.

From what I understand Marca and AS are about as reliable as the daily star anyway. Filling pages with Garbage to attract readers

Mundo Deportivo is as close to the club as AS is to RM - this is borne out of nearly 15 years of following the club...You're clinging to false hope if we're being honest, it was always a loan with his return a certainty - it was just a matter of it being 1 or 2 seasons and it's clear which it is going to be

It shows little understanding of how a loan nevermind a club like Barcelona works, FC Barcelona rarely loans out players nevermind players they count on...His early success with the Toffees and his ability to constantly create danger in the Premiership underscores how much he is ready for 1st team football and if he's going to get it, why would he get it somewhere other than his parent club?

You missed the point of sending him on Loan imo. Barca knew that he could be dangerous, they wanted a club to teach him discipline and tracking back to help the team. If you look at Messi, he helps the team so far beyond the attacking, but helps to maintain the teams shape and attacking patterns. Del has started to do that but the injury interrupted his development. It really depends on whether he continues to improve on that aspect as to whether we get him for season two. If its slow improvement then we may get him again but if he is defensively contributing then we won't get him.

I always find it amusing that people would imagine that managers of multi million pound companies impart their future plans with hacks, tea ladies or alleged ITK football forum posters.

He's only 19 though, why not loan him out for another season to Everton. Imagine how much better he'd get with another full season in the prem behind him.

He's still a really raw talent and certainly isn't ready to break into Barca's first team, yet, mate. Although he has shown glimpses of what he can do he isn't nearly consistent enough to play at the very top level. At the moment I think he is good option off the bench for us because he has bags of pace and trickery to attack tiring defenders at the end of games. However, when everyone is fully fit he wouldn't be my first choice XI to start here because he isn't consistent enough. To be honest, if he isn't starting for Everton he's definitely not even going to be on your bench for Champions League and La Liga games. For those reasons, I think he'll be here another year before being ready to make a big impact at Barca in the the 2015-16 season.

Well as a matchgoer here in Barcelona Id have to disagree about the press reports. Any of my friends and season ticket holders here say its not a given that he will come back just because it is in As.

The opinion of any fan I have talked to is that it would be better if he stayed another year with Everton.

I think we have a tendency to overhype players at Everton when they do okay. Deulo is still inconsistent and not a team player and that will not make it easy for him to oust Alexis or Pedro. I personally also think he should stay another season and having seen many young stars not make it at Barça after much promise and hype I would still say nobody knows if he will make it here...even if he is one of the most hyped since Messi.

You don't know anything

If he's merely a bench player for Everton, why he couldn't do the same for Barcelona is likely the thinking from the club

I disagree on the consistency aspect however, his development as a player has reflected a player who has dominated at every level - particularly for someone of his age

Things could change obviously but I'm simply echoing what reliable local reports say about his future and it being back at Camp Nou...I'd be happy with him staying with Everton as he fits into Roberto's style and seems happy there but I also think he can indeed add something to Barcelona's first team, even off the bench

I'm 100% certain that Barca haven't decided what to do with him yet. It may be that he wants to stay another season, and they would be happy with that, given that's he's unlikely to play much of a part for them next season. Their current stance of wanting him back could change for a variety of reasons in the summer.
