Barcelona have sent club representatives to Everton to sort out the future of young Gerard Deulofeu. The Catalan club want him to return to Spain this summer but they wanted to speak to Everton about his development, and also reassure the player's representatives that he has a first team future with Barcelona.
In early February Calciomercato in Italy said they'd heard from Spanish sources that Deulofeu wouldn't be allowed out on loan anywhere next season and that Everton had already been informed, with Roberto Martinez planning for the campaign without him.
However, Barcelona have been impressed with how Everton have handled the young player and the chances he's been given, outside of his injury. They can see that he's grown as a player and individual which will help Everton with any future loan requests from Barcelona and could still have some impact on Deulofeu's future.
He's turns 20 next month and Deulofeu doesn't want a season as a bit part player at Barcelona, say Marca, and that's presumably part of the current talks going on. Tata Martino is said to be eager for the player to return and Barcelona will hope that gives him confidence of being involved next season
