Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

I don't know whay people are knocking him. He has an electrifying turn of pace and very quick feet. A player like that scares defenders and, as we saw against Chelsea, they double up on him. Having him running at defenders creates spaces for others to move into as it drags defenders around and I think that we should play him and Lukaku together for at least an hour and see what happens. Even if he doesn't manage to play the ball off to Lukaku before two or three defenders sandwich him, there is a chance that one of them will bring him down in the box and Leighton can take care of the penalties.

Without players like Gerard D we are too static up front and that is why there has been no end product despite all our passing and possession. When defenders are scared of your attacking options they can push up the pitch and put us under more pressure.

At least he will make the place louder when he runs at the defenders. Be arsed with all this passing, just run at the barstools.

bit greedy, but got to say i was impressed with his 60 yard defensive run to cut out downings cross preventing us from going 1-0 down

Laughable that some were saying he's good enough for Barcelona as things stand.

He wouldn't start for us with everyone fit.
Can't really say that lid. You can tell hes a La Liga player and not a prem player. He would start for a decent La Liga team. Bottles out of the majority of 50/50s.

That alone was worth his place today, prevented an almost certain goal, thought it took him a good five minutes to recover from that lung buster which probably says a lot about his match fitness at the moment.

He would not start ahead of any of Barcelona's current first team regulars.

Pedro or Deulofeu. Hmm.
I don't think anyone who knows football would ever say that.
Hes just not a prem player, his games all about technical ability not shoving people off the ball. He would start for Bilbao and the teams similar. played awful today but you could tell he was tired

We're not talking about Bilbao are we.

Do you honestly think he'd start ahead of Pedro.

He'd struggle to start for Bilbao, he's not Basque.
