Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

That 30 seconds was a joke, should of been done at least 5 mins earlier, but either way we have to play him in %50 of our games so the loan fee is waved and 30 seconds is class as played, so in that sense it might be worth it. But would of been a killer if the ref added a bit more time and they got a third

Brought on with 30 seconds left in the match, ridiculous
Which we were winning by a narrow margin then when he was passed to he 1) lost possesion 2) when he got a 2nd pass instead of heading into the corner and keeping it he tried to go for glory in the box and lost possesion again. For a master class in keeping possession as a late sub take a look at Fellaini in the CL game against Olympiakos

I really like Deulofeu and would like him to stay here another year. But he does have weaknesses and one of them is often being more concerned about how he does rather than the team. Over a period of a game he can put that right or when we are chasing a game he is great sub to get a goal but when we are winning he can be very reckless

So just been looking at his time on the pitch since he got back early Feb from an almost 2 month layoff with his hamstring (where Barca was in full control of his recovery)

We've had 5 league games since then including yesterday
Spurs & Chelsea in Feb away where he was a 15 min sub in each
West Ham and Cardiff at home where he was a starter before being subbed at 73 and 62 minutes respectively
We've also had two FA cup games where he made cameo apperances like he did yesterday and a u21 spain game where he came on at half time iirc for 45 mins

He's had more starts and more game time that McGeady who is similarly acquiring match fitness although Aiden did not have an injury worry. Martinez appears to be trying to ease them both back slowly whilst still maintaining our push for Europe and rotate our other two wingers for fresh legs.

You seem to be critical of Everton's use of Deulofeu. What would you have done in martinez's position given Deulofeu's fitness/performances and our current fight for Europe?

made one run and got tackled mate.

If you go by that logic, no one would ever play

mcgeady was rightly started ahead of him and justified the decision. mirallas stayed on and hot an all important assist to give us the lead.

Irrelevant as I made no mention of McGeady or Deulo not starting...But brought on with 30 seconds left in the match?...A match where Everton were clinging to their lead for the last 30 minutes that also saw an invisible Mirallas?...Absolutely ridiculous

The invisible Mirallas that contributed 2 assists.

Nobody cares.
