Just read the Guardian article.

Cant find fault with him WANTING to start for Barca next year. I dont think he will tho...seems unlikely???

I think its fair enough he wants to go back and have a crack at his parent club. As long as his mind stays on the job for Everton while he's with us, and gives 100% he should go with our blessings and best wishes. Maybe Barca will like the exposure we've given him and send us some more young prospects who may turn out to be even better!

Course it is. It would be like those lads we have at Yeovil/Tranmere saying they would like to start for us next season. Be a bit weird if he said anything else really.

Hope he enjoys his time here.

I've been watching the U21 Spain v Germany game. It's half time now, but Deulofeu hasn't featured yet. Hope to see him in the second half.

He is a Barca player at the end of the day. If he scores a few goals and nets us some points before he heads back I'll be over the moon.

Don't see what all the fuss is about he hasn't said anything derogatory towards us. He is merely stating he has ambitions of playing for his parent club next year. Completely understandable and to be expected.

He was speaking to Catalunya radio so that was probably a reason saying that he'd like to go back season. He doesn't look ready to challenge for their first team squad so there's a good chance he will be back here next season.

He was a bit gash tonight. Which makes me think he should start on Saturday as he'll want to get it out of his system. Like when Bobby started him against Stoke to get the Derby misses out of his system.

Apologies for writing 'out of his system' twice. well, 3 times now ffs.

Played awful. Worked hard in my opinion though, tracked back when he needed too. Can't see him starting vs Arsenal with that performance. Thought Moreno was really lucky not to avoid a serious injury as well!
