Gerard Deulofeu close to loan deal with Everton
July 10, 2013 By Aaron
The future destinations of Barca players Gerard Deulofeu and Rafinha Alcántara will be sorted out very shortly. At least that’s the forecast with the sports directors of FC Barcelona, who admit that negotiations of loan deals of both these homegrown talents are well under way.
With the case of Gerard Deulofeu, his future is increasingly looking like being in the Premier League, after having received attractive proposals also from the Bundesliga and La Liga in Spain.
While both Valencia and Sevilla were keen to have Deulofeu on a loan deal, it was without much success, as Barca advised the player to seek a destination where the coach responsible for directing the project would “look after” him.
In that vein of thought, the circle has been narrowed down and according to the Catalan giants sources, clubs who have fitted this bill have been Tottenham, Everton and their neighbour and arch rivals Liverpool.

The club that seems best placed to seal a deal and get the services of Gerard Deulofeu is Everton. Roberto Martinez, who until last season was at Wigan, has taken over the manager’s role at the Merseyside club as David Moyes has moved on to bigger and greater things at Manchester United.
Bob Martinez, as he is known in the Premier League, could not avoid the descent of his modest team at Wigan but achieved spectacular success winning the FA Cup against Manchester City by a goal to nil at Wembley this year.
Barca views Martínez as an ideal technical safeguard for the arrival in England of a young talent and future star such as 19 year-old Deulofeu, who is eager to grow and enjoy more playing time.
Meanwhile, Thiago’s younger brother Rafinha, is also close to choosing his destination club to go out on loan to. He has been courted by some first division clubs such as Celta Vigo, Sevilla and Elche.
Gerard Deulofeu and Rafinha’s agent is Gines Carvajal, who also represents Victor Valdes. Barcelona will no doubt be hearing from him soon.

@barcastuff: Tottenham, Everton and Liverpool are the final candidates to sign Deulofeu on loan. Everton favourites. Decision soon to be announced. [md]

He's going to be with Everton for at least 2 years. No way will he be able to compete places with Alexis, Pedro and Neymar.

A loan without option to buy is like a candle light dinner with the fittest girl in town, knowing you´ll never get to see her naked.
