Wouldn't start Moses over Mirallas or Pienaar myself Chris.

Well I'm hoping for a slight tweak formation and tactics wise tbh mate. More of a 4-3-3 with mirallas moving over to the left, Moses right. With pienaar joining Gibson Fellaini Barkley osman and 1 more battling it out for the 3 central posistions. Maybe not ever game home and away but we need more than 1 way of setting up. Teams have definately sussed us tactical wise and as someone else said was the baines/pienaar thing that affective last year?

^ I have to agree with you. Pienaar has lost that pace he had when he first come here. He is a good player but given the chance I think moses can do a better job

I love the Baines/Pienaar combo I'd hate to see it broken, but it would be nice to have other options you're dead right. Still think it worked really well last season, may not have got the best out of Pienaar, but he certainly helps Baines.

Fast forward to about 3 minutes then. His goal was world class. Perfect technique.

What I liked about that video is it showed almost all of his touches not just one or two good plays.

He's going to be a star. Would be nice if he started at Everton.

TO be fair mate, he did look boss. I just never understand why in videos like this they show the player giving the ball away! surely the point is make them looks unreal!

Exactly. A bit like the Samaras compilation remember that? Made him look like Messi on speed.

Looking at the broader picture, I think one positive thing is that we are actually in for this young guy. A much more inspiring loan than many of our previous managers useless loan efforts. And Martinez obviously has the connections at the very top of Spanish football, and is not afraid to ask questions of them. This mutual respect could prove very useful in the future.

From Mundo Deportivo (http://www.mundodeportivo.com/20130...jes-everton-roberto-martinez_54377385468.html)

Excuse the Google Translate:

The future of Gerard Deulofeu and Rafinha Alcántara be defined shortly. At least that's the forecast with the rectors of the sports area of FC Barcelona, who admit that negotiations to close the assignment of both homegrown are well under way.
For Riudarenes end, its future is increasingly closer to the Premier League, having received proposals also attractive in the Bundesliga and the Spanish Liga.
Without going any further, both the Valencia and Sevilla get bid on their assignment, but without success because the club advised the player to seek a destination where the coach responsible for directing the project would "keep".
In that vein, lately has narrowed the circle and according to sources of the Catalan club, clubs who have reached the 'end' have been Tottenham, Everton and its neighbor and arch-rivals Liverpool.
Who today seems best placed to take the upper water Everton, the club he will start this season to lead the Catalan Robert Martinez, until last season at Wigan.
Bob Martinez, as he is known in the Premier, could not avoid the decline of its modest equipment, but achieved a spectacular success winning the Cup
Now, at the club you see as an ideal technical safeguard the arrival in England of a young talent as Deulofeu (19 years), eager to grow and enjoy minutes.
Meanwhile, Rafinha (20 years) is also close to pick your destination club to go on loan. Today, the younger brother of Thiago Alcantara also hopes to First Division clubs like Celta, Sevilla and Elche.
The Deulofeu and Rafinha agent is the same, Gines Carvajal, who also represents Valdes. In Barça hearing expected shortly.

COME ON YOU BOB MARTINEZ (as you are known in the Premier)
IT'S ON!

lot of places have us favourite to land this kid, but thats the crux- he is just a lad with huge potential. we've had our fair share of lads with big potenetial. i would like to see him here (especially after watching the youtube on him) we love our flair players (mirallas, pienaar(sometimes)) and i'd be impressed with robbie if he gets him here. Fingers crossed

Pretty much what i was going to say. Useful club to have a good relationship with IMO. Were not exactly blessed with cash so players who cant get into the Barca team coming to us - whilst a little bit gutting were in that position - is a realistic view on where we are as a club with our finances.

Theres absolutely nothing to stop them sending him back to us for another year loan if it works out for all parties.

Still dont think we will get him though. We might be going to Barca in much the same way we used to go to United to get players in.

I agree. There are a whole host of clubs after this lad on loan (reportedly), Betis, Sociadad, Spurs etc... Would be impressive if we nab him ahead of those.
