If you watch Barcelona as much as you profess, then you know full well that attacking players at Barcelona are asked to play ascross the line - they interchange all the time so how could they be one dimensional if they are versatile enough to move around on the pitch?...Cuenca is a player I really love although I fear his days are numbered at the club, again the fallout of untimely injuries...But he has a very well rounded game, he can pass, shoot, dribble, press and link up in attacks...I mean the only credible weakness I could even think of with him is that he isn't blessed with blazing pace like say Deulofeu or Tello yet he hasn't been hampered by it

At the very least, he is absolutely not limited in terms of skill as you're now suggesting

Just the reality of what happens when injuries enter the picture, it can derail your development...Couple that with a new board who have de-emphasized the cantera and there you have it...On the flip side, were Pep still here both Cuenca & Tello would not only be staying but would be integral squad players

You have just now, not previously which was my main point.

You continue to question whether I watch them. What do you think I am doing when I´m sitting in Camp Nou watching the team you love and would love to watch live?

One Trick Pony. limited player who most commonly play the game in a certain way. He hits the line and crosses and cuts back to varying degrees of success. He is neither consistent or above average in this, the most common part of what he does on the pitch IMO. He presses well, true. all players in the attack move around, true. Doesn´t change my opinion of him. All the other attributes you mention I am of the opinion he is not much better than average at. It is an informed opinion because Im basing it on watching the kid in every game for the team, and also on opinions from those who have watched him at Sabadell. I could be wrong but it is an informed opinion. Your latest post seems to suggest his only weakness is lack of pace. I find that comment incredible, as I don´t know anybody here who weren´t of the opinion he wouldn´t be a Barça player long term even when in the team and contributing, which goes against your idea that he only has one "credible" weakness.

Dont see the problem or worry here TBH.

A new manager was always going to want to look at what the youngsters have to offer before even making a decision.
The state Barca are in, they're going to spend BIG on reinforcing the squad before the potential transfer ban hits them.
Luis Enrique may decide that Deulofeu isnt ready and that a year away again will help, whether it be with us with Europe is another thing.

Anyway, Deulofeu, I'm sorry he's going back. He's still very raw but gave us an extra option. I'm not convinced his long term future lies with Barcelona, but I wish the lad well. There were tears in his eyes at half-time at Hull. Barca is his first and true love, but he'll miss us a bit too.

Youth squad implies one team on a particular youth level...The equivalent terminology for La Masia would be cantera or youth academy but it is known as La Masia which I would wager you were already familiar with

Injuries happen and they often derail a player's development, if you believe that's psychic fortune telling I think you'll be in for a surprise the next time you sit down with a soothsayer
