I think it's all standard stuff going on with Gerrard at the moment. I don't think any of it is conclusive as to whether he will be back or not. They have a new manager who is clearly going to want to have a look at him over the pre-season anyway.

We'll just have to wait and see. He may still be back or he may not.

I'd say he's a long way off of the Barca first team right now. He wasn't consistent enough to be a regular for us, and will have Messi, Neymar, Iniesta et al to get past at Barca.

That's nice of the wee lad.

I liked him a lot. He was greedy yes but he has immense talent and was a joy to watch at times. I think another season here would have benefitted both parties but it's not to be so I hope he goes on to be a world class player. Hopefully this is the start of a good relationship with Barcelona but if not I think we'll have other big clubs queuing up to loan us their young players.

That's cool man, he'd drive you nuts but it was exciting to have him in a blue shirt, and that Arsenal goal is one for the history books. Best of luck to the lad.

I'd love to see him back next season. Yes, he has lots of rough edges, but how good will he be when they're coached out of him?

My best memory of him will be the equaliser at Arsenal. What a fabulous moment.

Very nice comments from the lad, glad he enjoyed his time here. Hope he goes on to fulfill his talent at his boyhood club.

But if in his preseason it turns out he needs a little more work before he is ready for Barca would love to have him back.

And regardless of if he comes back or not, hope he tells all his Spanish u21 friends what a boss team Everton are so that it helps us sign/loan a few more with skills like his.
