Emery is a bit of a tough bugger if I remember rightly. That approach obviously doesn't work with Deulofeu. His attitude worries me but I bet he'd want to come here and if we can get a good price on him, you do wonder what Martinez can get out of him.

watching the replay now...lets just say it was a shocker by him today...a selfish, shocking display which generated jeers from the home support.

But not that unsurprising he'd put in a bad performance after over two months on the bench especially if not played in his usual position of the wing.

It merely underscores that Emery is not a promoter of youth players or judge of talent for that matter...Deulo's success/failure won't be tied to how little Emery or Martinez used him, players need to play and develop chemistry, confidence & rhythm...Bench fodder is no way to develop which is why Isco burst onto the scene the moment he left Emery & Valencia to regularly play for Malaga

I couldn't agree more with that statement. That said, he simply wasn't good enough to warrant more playing time last season in an Everton shirt. He was an impact sub...that was his best role. Probably the same this season. I don't think he's quite found his level to properly develop.
