But Mark Hughes though... The scruffy welsh tw#tI'm beginning to wish we hired Hughes. He's doing a better job than Martinez in that and other areas. Ex player for us too although didn't exactly do too well.
Well yea!Really? REALLY?
Well yea!
I said beginning. I don't have anything against Hughes. Top player, played at the biggest clubs in the world. Apart from one blip on his CV has done well in management and seems to play the game the right way without going over the top with passing just for the sake of it.
Martinez has a lot to prove.
There's a lot of sense being written there. However I'm not sure I would say he failed miserably at City. He built a lot of the team that won the title (Kompany, Lescott, Zabaletta, Barry, Tevez) and it's always difficult even with money to start winning things overnight. Not also being the choice of the owners I'm sure also didn't help.Hughes is just a spectacularly average manager to me. A new Big Sam (who has did a lot more with a lot less at Bolton).
Failed miserably at City and QPR after spending money. Basically dines out on his Blackburn stint and get sides into the top 10 with a functional brand of football.
Post Blackburn - He's never taken a club to a cup final, never stayed longer than 3 seasons at a club - in fact just 1 season at 3 clubs (City, Fulham, QPR), doesn't really have a good eye in the transfer window either, never blooded a youth team.
He's the poster boy for bang average journey man manager.
Martinez may have a lot to prove, but he's done more, won more, and taken more risks than Hughes has. Also has a vision of what he wants.

A good window and we might not be too far off. A top No10 and a winger and our 1st team comes close man-to-man to anyone.think this applies for us and martinez as well, but without the money bit
true but we dont have the depth and consistently in our squad that the other top teams do. look at the 2013/2014 season, we had one of the top records when playing against the top 4 but we'd drop points against teams like Stoke, S'land, and PalaceA good window and we might not be too far off. The quality in the premiership isn't great at the moment.
We also don't have the experience and a lot of our team is still potential. They might reach those heights. They might even reach them next year and do a bit of a class of '92 but it's a dream more than an expectation.true but we dont have the depth and consistently in our squad that the other top teams do. look at the 2013/2014 season, we had one of the top records when playing against the top 4 but we'd drop points against teams like Stoke, S'land, and Palace

But Mark Hughes though... The scruffy, condescending, arrogant, humourless welsh tw#t, with a face that needs kicking all the way from L4 to the Brittania......And back
