Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

I remember watching us play at Fulham away in the league cup, which was arguably his best game. I thought if only we could keep Lukaku, Deulofeu and Barkley together what a side we'd have, with some of the bets young players in Europe. We can add Stones to that mix now as well.

They are all raw but it would be an extremely exciting signing if we added Gerard to the mix. There is little doubt he has stalled a bit over the last 18 months. However the raw pace and dribbling ability we saw, against Liverpool at Home, Fulham away and Stoke at home is almost unrivalled by any young players. I think he's better than Depay who Manchester United have bought.

He would be a great buy and add to a young spine that we have got.
 
Not knowing whether he has a future at Barca doesn't help him.
He played well enough for us i thought in his first stint here, that he could have potentially got games at Barca, but he was immediately shipped out on loan. Think if this move is going to happen, for his sake it needs to be permanent. Then he can focus on doing his best here and here only without having thoughts in the back of his mind about whether Barca are impressed with him or not.

That probably makes no sense like, but yeah.

Thats what i was thinking mate. They've ran Deulofeu stories now since the Europa League Final. Theres more to it than them using it as clickbait IMO.

Oh we've deffo always wanted him back but i think the feeling was it'd be unrealistic, after his somewhat failure at seville and clearly barca not fancying him it's become more realistic.

Expect any deal will come with a buy back clause though, and i think it'll be permanent rather than a loan but i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Think it's all a bit pie in the sky as of this moment like.

Behave mate hes not a patch on depay ATM
 
I'm sure I read somewhere that he has a release clause of 25 mil exercised into his contract. Hopefully Barca , who don't need the money could lower that by half and if not more.
 

Haven't seen no one else apart from the echo report this so I also think it is probably pie in the sky.

No deals will be done for Del boy before he returns to Barca for Pre season I reckon for them to evaluate him.
