I've heard this is his aim as it's always been his dream to line up alongside Lee Cattermole.
He wants to add the premier league worst 11 next to his la Liga 11 trophy

He's coming back purely due to missing out on the 7th placed trophy in his last stint.
Or, he could be in the premier league worst eleven after having a stinker of a season.
Anyone considered that if he does well for us, we buy him out of his release clause of his contract fully owning him?
As long as he isnt doing a hazard esq season for us over the next 12 months or so then chances are we could offer to pay another 6 and keep him fully and be in control of any sales afterwards?
Has he signed yet? It's dragging on a bit now.
That article seemed to say that he's only got a released clause for 2 years, I don't think we'd need to worry about it too much.
and Sunderland and Stoke have been trying to queer our pitch, dont forget! If you haven't read the last 6 pages you've missed his whole career in the blink of an eye, he's actually 39 now living in a villa on Tenerife with his 3rd wife and her mother. So far this morning Deulofeu has been bought then sold back to Barca, bought then sold on as a flop, bought then sold on to anyone, and bought then bought again to stop Barca buying him. Bought and won us the league and Champions league.
All this before he's actually been bought. Marvellous work.
Course we would if he is any good. id rather have to worry about the clause over the next 2 years than not have to. Shows what sort of player he will be for us if barca do want him back
I think this reported low transfer fee and equally low buyback clause is a very clever move by Barcelona if true. They don't want him as it is so get rid of his - albeit low - wages and receive say £3-4m in the transfer fee. Say he does absolutely nothing for us, they're a few quid richer and haven't missed out. If he explodes for 1-2 seasons and some massive clubs come in for him they can either think:
1. Do we need him in our team? Let's take a small hit and buy him back.
2. We don't need him, but others do, lets take a small hit buying him back and then sell him on again for £20-25m.
Sneaky little Spanish flip-flops.
I think you know when it's a goer when sky put on their transfer live page.......... he / we haven't had a mention regarding this deal................... so it's all a bit confusing.
