I tend to agree with this.

Lennon did improve us. But it wasn't necessarily him that did it. It was the dire need for a player like him.

Lennon was good for most of his time here but did go a little quiet last couple of games when he should have been pushing harder than ever for a move.

I don't hate him and of we did get him id be ok with it, but could we not just get a better version?

His game relies on pace, he'll be 28 years old plus when the season starts. So agree with that.

Can't fault the kid for wanting to play elsewhere. Barca is involved in the perpetual arms race with Madrid and are they really going to be bringing in young kids on the attack?

They'll sign a finished product from elsewhere to keep the threat going. They've got the best in the world leading their attack. They know they have to attack this window and score as many trophies as possible.

Honestly ain't got a clue mate. I thought IF we were ever going to make a move for him it would cost 8-11m.

I'm not comfortable with buy back clauses unless it's for 25m because can you imagine if he tears the premier league a new arse hole and then they come back in and buy him back for 9m. I would cry for a full 20 minutes, maybe even 25. BUT if it's the only way to get him here then sod it we have to go for it. 3m is a no brainer, christ that's less than what we paid for Simon Davies, let that thought sink in!

Surely a buyback clause is only applicable if the player is in agreement?

If he a/ wants to stay or b/ go somewhere that isn't Barcelona, that's his choice. Employment law and that.

They sold Bojan to Roma for 11m euros and then bought him back for 11m euros.... No mention of his buyback on the BBC report of the signing, but it shows they do use it.
