It's the remix to ignition
The Del Boy edition
Homies taking his time
Contract nonce waiting for his commission

*Grabs coat, jumps on dragon from never ending story, flies away to magical kingdom

FFS see what the death of Toby has created, its left a void of sh8t rhymes that need filling

There was some Spanish correspondent on Newstalk a couple of hours ago that said Gerard would be open to a move to a London club if an offer came in. Hopefully West Ham keep their grubby fingers to themselves.
Was that the Spanish Sportofact guy? :D

Allardyce wrote in the London Evening Standard:

"Look, for example, how patient Everton have been with Gerard Deulofeu. He was, in fact, due to come to us on loan from Barcelona but because of Roberto Martinez's Spanish connections, he chose Everton. They, in turn, have been careful with him and only now is he making a few headlines."

The figures quoted and rumoured are 9 - 12 million. So again, a couple of million.

Barca ' we'll settle for 9 senor '

Everton ' can you not do 9.1 like '

At the risk of repeating myself and others, this not about haggling over the fee. It is a complicated deal which involves buyout clauses at different prices at different times and so is complicated. Both parties are trying to cover their arses as nobody knows what is going to happen with the player in the future. So for once I'd be prepared to give the board credit for stretching this one out until they get the best deal for the club.

Barcelona already have a buyer in 3 years anyway. We're taking care of him whilst they travel around Europe.

The player can still refuse to go back but what player would refuse Barcelona if they come knocking, especially a player whose dream it is to play for the club. Barca will get him back for 10m, once he has been coached into the player they thought he would be, he will be sold onto <insert team name> for 30m, making a tidy profit.

Martinez is the only coach to get any kind of form out of him, they trust him. It's why they're dangling the 2m carrot in front of him.

' here bobby, make my young lad a 30 m player whilst I'm busy doing other things '.

Yes. Which is why this is effectively a loan deal.

I'm no Kenwright fan but Billy boy has form when it comes to driving a hard bargain on contract dealings. He's probably reaming those Spaniards as we speak.
