Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

I have it on good authority that Everton are signing that Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona.
My sources are telling me that we are getting him cheap, but that Barcelona will have a 'buy back' clause.
The deal COULD be announced as early as today.

I'm rather excited because the last time we did all our business early in the summer we had a great season. Having a whole pre season with your new team mates must make a huge difference, want the lads fit and raring to go with competition for places fierce.

I don't get why people are so arsed about it being 'announced' when it's quite clearly done.

We're just assuming and going on media reports etc it's done. A bit like believing reports about signings. The reality is that we don't know for sure and would like it confirmed.

I'm not worried but I'm still looking forward to it being announced.

EVERTON are hopeful of being able to announce the signing of Gerard Deulofeu later today.

The 21-year-old winger has agreed terms on a move from Barcelona.

And Deulofeu, who spent the 2013-14 season on loan at Goodison, will join the Blues in a deal worth around £5m.

A buy-back option is to be included in the contract which will give Barca the chance to take him back to the Nou Camp at the end of the next two seasons, for pre-agreed fees.

After a breakthrough in negotiations last week, Deulofeu travelled to Liverpool complete negotaitions on Monday.

Everton are now just waiting for paperwork to be completed at Barcelona before the deal is tied up and they can announce the Spanish under-21 international as their second signing of the summer following the acquisition of Tom Cleverley.

Interesting. Only two seasons after all. Nice one Everton's negotiators.

People moaning " just hurry up and get it done"

I would much prefer us to be mingebags and try and get the best deal possible instead of certain clubs just chucking in way over the odds for a player just so they can get in their so the larger teams don't go for them.
To much gets praised now in transfer window about how much has been spent and who has spent the most. Should it not be about who has got the best deals & value for money? Shouldn't that be praised & not "This players going to be a star cos he has had 29 million spent on him"

I think they've said the top price will rise to £14m
