Good, before the start of the window, we will already have secured 2 players, Tom & Gerry

Good start to the window but let's see if we actually spend any money.
Excellent & I bet the rest of the premier league clubs are a little envious of our early business dealings & the dealings we've done !!

Big fan of Geri... But I wouldn't think teams are envious

If we're paying 5m pounds I wonder what the buybacks are
I would imagine something like 9m and 14m.

The big thing is the 3rd year has been taken out. Realistically if he does do the business here he wouldn't be ready for Barca in 2 years but in 3 years he would be 24 which is an ideal age. Plus Messi would be 32 then.

Of course all of that only matters in the unlikely event that he's good enough for Barca's first team. I don't think there's any chance of him being bought back if he's not either to sell on or for the bench.

Spending money is not the answer in itself...look at our neighbours last summer.
It is how the money is spent that is important.
The signing of Deulofeu is a real coup...when it happens.
I am more than surprised that this is happening. This is a player who had the highest rating at the highest levels of the game.

It's not as if his career has fallen off the wagon but has stalled or the progress has slowed. I think this is the most exciting signing the Premiership may see this summer but as it isn't a top four or a Liverppol signing it will barely be noticed.

If he's not at the level Barcelona require in 2 years time the 3rd is irrelevant thats why they've seemingly insisted on these clauses to the deal. That's not to say he wouldn't be a good player in 3 years time, just if he's not developed enough in the next two years he's not going to reach the very top.
