Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

If he starts playing sideway passes all game then we know he has grown out of it. Give it 2 seasons in England and I think he may just be the bossest sideways passer.

Don't get me wrong about the lad...he was scary good running at people with the ball in his feet, but he often found himself cornered and nothing happened because he missed the pass or took too many dribbles. Barkley suffers from the exact same problem.

I know they are young...they've both got bags of talent...hopefully they both sort it out this year.

I was only kidding....you are spot on. RM has said he is a much mature player so lets hope he has ironed out some of those traits without taking away his flair.

Everybody going on about his assist rate, we should be praising his creation rate. Just from that Sevilla vid a few pages back you can see he's adapted his game. How many chances does he create? It's down to the strikers to turn them into assists. His pace is terrifying, he's gonna be dragging defenders all over the shop.

Watching that Vid from last season at Sevilla he has definitely matured and improved.

£4.2m...

, hope the FBI aren't watching.

Whilst that is broadly true......the team looked a lot more threatening, attacked a lot quicker and there was a more expectant air when we were on the the ball during his first season with us than we witnessed throughout the last, dreadfully dull season when the opposite of those things was the norm.

+1

It was a feature of his first spell that after a mazy run he delivered the ball into the kill zone with a reasonable expectation that a striker or supporting midfield player would be there to make something off it.

When no such critter is there it just makes the pass cross look wasteful.
