I dono if this has been but out there I'm risking sounding ill informed but why would Barca adamantly put that in his contract if they have no intention of bringing him back? Just to the people saying there's no way they would unsettle him etc.
...as a safeguard against him fulfilling all his potential and Barca having no 'recoup' of that ( playing wise and/or financially). As I've said previously, anyone thinking Barca doesn't maintain leverage in this player transaction is being Pollyanna-ish (given Everton 'bought' him for only 4 million)

My understanding is that it's a standard policy for Barcelona to put a buyback clause in any time they let one of their young players leave on a transfer.

he is playing well. incredible actually.

but...i highly doubt they will come for him this season. its too early. and he is not gonna nudge out neymar or suarez out for sure.

i think we will have to worry about other teams first sniffing around first.

Delboy is playing superbly.

However, I don't think barca will be pushing for him to return to their first team - he's still a long way off that yet.

"As it is, I don't understand the value for him at a club like Everton where he is clearly the biggest talent there"

Jog on you massive whopper.
Yes, I picked up that very unsubtle slur as well. This FCBarca rooster flits from forum to forum pretending objective comment on one (GOT) and a stabbing in the back stance on another. His latent fume over Deulofeu being at Everton is evident. Some GOTers think "he's alright...just stating an opinion". Me, I see him for the cankered individual he is.
Get rid.

I sincerely hope so!

Not sure if I missed it but has anything come out whether Del has a choice in the matter?
Same as any other contract. The clause applies to the clubs, but the deal still needs his signature to go through.

Ergo, literally NOTHING to worry about over and above any other player's contract situation, provided he is content to remain here instead of go back to Barca over the course of this and next season.
