Genuinely can't remember a player as good at what he does for us. Kanchelskis was the last but I think geri can be better.
He's turned a game against league 1 opposition, people need to calm down. Honestly think he'll be inconsistent and frustrate the fans a lot this season but there's obvious talent that needs to be nurtured. My advice would be not to expect too much from him.
Actually they had two defenders on him really tight and it was just a bit of skill and the ability to drop his shoulder and make a yard. You couldn't really blame their defense with that goal.Have to agree with this a bit. They had a centre back playing up against him at left back and i'd have been fuming if our defenders had let him put a cross in so easily like he was allowed to for the Naismith header. With that said though he isn't anywhere near match fit yet and he did look dangerous every time he got the ball - gave the whole team a lift when he came on

He's matured since he first came here, that's 2 years ago, he's developing into some player, his crossing is the best at the club already judging by Wednesday. He is a infuriating player but that is because he tries to make things happen. He will take players on and sometimes makes himself look a fool and other times he makes the defender look a fool. If he can create a couple of chances per game that's what we need to judge him on. His position and type of style will see him lose out 50-75% of the time. Its his braveness at going at people rather than sideway passing etc that will give Everton that much needed edge. He is also a brilliant outlet for Counter attacking. We could see a goal machine in Lukaku this season with dels assists and an on form Barkley
