Mate we have a player in his early 20's who can't last past the 60 min mark of a game, early 20's for Christ sake, does countless step overs then loses the ball, in the Swansea game I even seen him refuse a pass because he either couldn't be bothered or just to nackered, had a good game against bourgh in the 1/4 final can't remember much since, there's a reason we only paid 4m for him and no other team were interested.

This is his first full season as a regular starter for a top division team. To say he's not putting in a major shift is massively unfair, his game is about explosive sprinting to beat a man and quick turns of pace to give himself half a yard for a cross, both highly energy sapping. He's played a lot more football this season than he did in his first season with us and with Sevilla. All of these minutes are understandably catching up with him as he's never experienced such prolonged game time in his career before.

I hope your right I'd love him to improve I just don't see it, there's no doubt he has ability, but ability without desire is not enough especially in this league. When he refused that pass against Swansea really made me fume and his lack of effort last night didn't help either, next season may be a better time to judge him, we shall revisit this subject then.

I'm thinking this will be the case. I don't think it's a lack of effort on his part, he's just goosed.

He has 13 assists this season. 17 if you count own goals/deflected crosses/passes.

He's only going to get better.

He is, makes persevering with him so much when we had Lennon and Mirallas sat on the bench seem strange. Still we are where we are and he will be better next season for the matches he has played this season and hopefully he will strengthen up.

People slagging off Del for not lasting 90 minutes forget that Mirallas has rarely been able to and he is older and more experienced.

Stamina is the only thing he's lacking now, and that will come.

In five years he'll be the best of Everton's bright young things. He's quality.

Should have buried that chance last night, though. FFS, Geri.

His disbelief on his face last night when being hooked off by RM- I just thought the relief of the city defenders when this happened- Does the R in Roberto mean dipstick like only fools and horses?

Wish Bobby would do more fitness work in training to be fair. None of our players press the ball enough.

Geri is hands down class though, didn't think there could be much debate about that.

I love watching him play, he's a fans dream, but I bet we'd have got a lot more points this season had Lennon played instead of him.
