I would love to see him in a more central role for the next couple of games, I think it would cause all sorts of problems for defenders.

This is the problem though, Martinez just stumbles on things and then isn't flexible enough. Lennon came in and was boss and rightly kept his place. But during this period we've had all kinds of crap covering the left side whilst Barkleys form has gone to crap week on week and we've barely seen Del for months.
It seems like a life time ago since him and rom were tearing boro a new one in the league cup. Gerri needs to be playing week in week out. He puts balls in the box which rom feeds off. It doesn't help playing cleverley out wide who seems to drift into the middle
