I think he's playing him there because Kone and Niasse are useless and he doesn't want to use them at all. When he signs backup for Lukaku I don't expect to see Geri through the middle very often at all, he's too good at feeding Lukaku from the wing.

I think its just for the experience of playing there and also once Kone and Niasse are punted he will look to sign a top forward...ideally you need 3 so he may be looking at Deulofeu as a 3rd option and bring in a LW player and use Deulofeu upfront if its an emergency...

Interesting he got almost a full game last night,koeman and his staff must be working on his stamina,I just think he can be fantastic for us,his ability is sublime,the commentators last night were lambasting him for having a go at young Davies after a poor pass and while it didn't look great on deulofeus part I for one don't mind it,it shows he cares and wants to be a winner,Alan ball and Peter Reid would have reacted,maybe not in such a Spanish hysterionic way!!too!!
