There seems to be a lot of people hating on Bolaise as he has the nerve to fit the style of play better than the golden boy.
Nah, it's more than he's a bit crap. 9 goals in 4 years, very few assists. runs the ball out of play more often than doing something meaningful with it. Would love to be made to eat my words about him, however.

Horses for courses lads. Bolasie can press all game long without getting knackered so against a top team or in a difficult away fixture where we need to work hard he's probably a better option but when we have eleven men behind the ball and need a moment of magic Del is probably better. Not to say Bolasie can't create though, he should've had two assists in his first appearance had Rom and Ross not fluffed their lines.

Cool, how many assists does he have?

How many assists does Del have this season?

Actually, in fact, how many assists does Del have since the turn of the year...

How many minutes does Del have since the turn of the year though?

How many runs must Gerry make,
Before he falls on the floor?
And how many touches does Romelu need,
To control a simple ball?
And how many chins will McGeady grow,
Before his contract ends?

The answer my friends,
Is blowing out your arse,
The answer is blowing out your arse

Think it says a lot about the fitness/workrate of our longer serving wingers when Bolasie is being seen as a better bet for his defensive qualities. According to the Palace fans I know he's a lazy so & so.

I think he could afford to be lazy there though but he's always had the fitness levels for more if he fancied it. He knows he's got Del and Lennon on the bench raring to go here though so he is under a lot more pressure to perform.

Love a bit of Bob me.

as said before, he'd have had two assists to his name in his first 30 minutes on a pitch for us if not for poor finishing from Rom and Ross. He fits how Koeman wants to play and offers something different to what we had. He'll do well here

Agree. Don't understand all this why it has to be either or.

Think Koeman is the type of manager who will pick a formation or player selection to suit the opposition and the occasion. He'll play 3 at the back in certain away games. Alternate between 1 and 2 holding midfielders. He'll mix up his forward players and I think he'll expect his front guys to put in shifts for 60/70 mins before putting fresh legs on. I reckon they'll all get a good opportunity so don't understand why people's heads are falling off.

Del and the other young dog Ross, (maybe others too) have to learn new tricks...like running and thinking. Once they have that sorted. They will have then have to learn to do both together.

I agree, would have Bolasie ahead of Gerry at the moment. Gerry needs to put his head down, get fitter and stop the stupid dives and flailing arms. Also winds me up how he moans if he doesn't get a pass but never apologises for being greedy. The lad is clearly talented but needs to grow up a little.

It is so refreshing not going into every match knowing we will play 4231 and knowing exactly who will start every match. We may not have bought a marquee signing but we have squad depth and a manager willing to use it effectively!
