Gerard Deulofeu

He's played his way out of the team for the time being, but with Bolaise being the way he is it won't be long before another chance presents itself.

Rather he started than Balosie, who I absolutely do not rate at all. Deulofeu must be fresh as a daisy too, with just a game for Spain under his belt in the last two and a bit weeks. Start him, give him an hour then bring on Bolasie when he inevitably starts blowing out of his arse (after three assists).

But it boils down to the fact that - at the moment - Koeman has said that Bolasie is the best of our wingers when it comes to the pressing game.

I don't care who out of him or any of our others start, as we've got four very good options for those positions and whoever doesn't start will be able to make an impact from the bench.

Agreed.

I would think Bolasie would have that left sided wing position as all his for the time being. If Del is to get a go, I think it'll be at the expense of Kev.

Koeman must see something in him to have played him at striker in the first couple of games. I thought he did alright considering the circumstances.

He's obviously got the ability but his fitness is an issue (something that I'd expect Koeman to sort out, if not he'll be sold). And he's still a bit too selfish. Barcelona saw good reason to put a complicated buy back clause in the deal for a reason.

I'd agree mate if not for the fact that Kev has been playing from the left and Bolasie from the right ;)

But yeh, Bolasie is different in style to any of our other wingers, and offers more of a 'presence' - either way we've improved in that area

He struggled vs WBA purely because he was up against four grock centre halves. The only reason he didn't play against Yeovil was due to a knock picked up in training, and then against Stoke the game wasn't in the right situation for him to be brought on.

It's as simple as that.

You've probably watched more of the games than I have this season. There's some promising signs.

If him and Barkley can get anywhere near their full potential we'll have something special on our hands.

Del for me as things stand is an impact sub away from home. If we're chasing a goal a need a bit pace and creativity up top then it's perfect for him to come on against tiring defenders. If we're trying to consolidate a lead or hang on for a draw then Lennon would more than likely get the nod. I start him at home though if he's in form.

Think people are just over-reacting myself mate.

Del is class on his day but it's all bout different players for different needs/games.

Koeman has said that at the moment Bolasie is the only forward we have who can press all game, but the others are getting there.

Del had a great pre-season and has looked fitter now than he did at any stage last year, so I'm sure he'll get a run at some point. It's a long season but as I keep saying, not many sides outside of the top 6 have a better selection of wide players to pick from.
