For me Bolasie will and should start ahead of Del, one reason I think he will is because of the fee we just paid for him, you dont spend that and leave a player on the bench.
The otner reason is Del can't do 90 minutes and starting him means one of your subs has already been accounted for.

Great player to have on the bench!
 
At the minute it's Bolasie and Mirallas to start on the wings. Geri will be a great impact sub for the last half an hour in games when required. It's a squad game, so he'll get loads of chances to play, January for example when Bolasie goes to the AFCON. It's up to him to make the place in the team his.

Koeman said after the Spurs game that Geri and Mirallas needed to work harder and cover more ground in the games, Kev has done that where as Deulofeu didn't.

He cant seem to do 70 minutes of games still at the minute, lightweight and can be bullied out of games, were as Bolasie is power and pace, scaring defenders every time he gets the ball. I think this is Koemans preferred approach, so it will be difficult for Deulofeu to be a regular first team player in my opinion.

Great player, but needs to add consistency to his game if he wants to play week in, week out.

I know, Jags said he was playing draughts on the team coach with Gerry the once, & just over half way through the game, he got up & said he couldn't finish the game, so Ossie took over !!

That's hardly the reason. Deulofeu chased everything and was absolutely knackered by the time he came off in the few games he played when he was up front on his own.

Koeman isn't a fan of young players and with Barkley and Rom he probably thinks the team needs more experience plus Deulofeu has problems with his game that are infuriating. He gives the ball away far too cheaply and his consistency is awful. Sometimes he can be a 9/10 and others a 1/10 - often in the same game. Managers like to know what they are going to get even if the potential isn't as high.

I understand why Koeman prefers Kev and Bolasie. I just hope he doesn't freeze Deulofeu out because that consistency will come.
 

I think fans in the Gwladys and Park End in rows K onwards should be provided with helmets to protect themselves from Bolasie's horrific shots. On the other hand, vaseline should be provided to fans in the Top Balcony for their near birds' eye view of Geri's whipped-in balls to Lukaku to slot home.

Why can a professional footballer not play for 90 minutes?
It's bizarre !
 

As for Deulofeu, he obviously hasn't upped his stamina and consistency enough to be a starter at the moment. He has to have a long look at himself and improve his mental application to the game.

He's a hell of a game changer to have on the bench though.

All that said, Bolasie hasn't proven a thing yet either. He's had a flying cameo followed by an indifferent first start.
