He was being watched very closely by Liverpool which is understandable because of his recent performances. Even though he struggled tremendously on the ball, you see why we need a winger with a great delivery on the pitch always. Cheap goals are just as valuable as the stunners.
Was pushed off the ball too easily today and his passing was generally awful (only 60%) but he still had a moment of skill that gave an assist.

Like Rom, Gerald is best when the ball is played on the deck in front of him so he can run at the defence.

Rodgers had a plan for him, get in quickly and be physical and, to be fair, it worked.
He's a confidence player, if one of his first few runs or passes works he'll shine, but even though he was pants today, he didn't hide and always made himself available. He'll probably be MOTM against ManU, that's just the sort of player he is.
