Hope this is true. Wish nothing but the best for the lad.
Loved the club. Personally think what he missed for us could be worked on with good body conditioning.
One of my favourite players in recent years for his sheer "stand-up-when-he's-got-the-ballness."
Think it was vs Cardiff in his first season - literally everytime he picked it up all of us in the GS end stood up in anticipation.
...Lennon has been subbed on once since we shipped off Geri, and Bolasie hasn't played at all. There's only half a dozen players in world football that can do what he does with a football.
... so obviously we gave up on him and went with perennial English carthorse runabouts in Aaron Lennon and Yannick Bolasie.
Yay.

Agree 100% he was born with something players would kill for. I look at it as we were teased with a player who really didn't belong in this league to begin with. Sort of a weird deal to begin with, wasn't it, with all the stipulations/clauses in his contract? Now that we have had a taste of him we want him back. Kind of a grass is always greener sort of thing. Some excellent players out there who just couldn't cut it in a league like ours. That's not to say we're better. It just takes a certain player to come here and do well, regardless of natural ability. The former because he's not very good, and the latter I know is injured but the point remains he was starting ahead of him before the injury, week in, week out.
If Bolasie wasn't injured, he'd be playing now because of his price tag, as Koeman proved by persisting with his awfulness when he was fit.
Koeman has went with an inside forward in that role instead now with the likes of Calvert-Lewin, so Deulofeu is deemed surplus to requirements. But it boggles the mind how you can ignore a game changer like Deulofeu. I can understand now starting him; but I can't understand how he's been let go with the squad we have as an alternative to him.
Just such a shame. I buy all the arguments about his stamina etc. but they aren't things that can't be improved upon - natural ability is the one thing you can't teach, and he had that in spades.
Bottom line.At the end of the day, making a £9m profit on a player the manager doesn't like is nothing to cry about.
Probably right in the first paragraph, because only this kid can start life at a new club so well and the vanish. He's done it twice at Everton and once at Sevilla. There's only half a dozen players in world football that can do what he does with a football.

He's going to be far, far more successful than that Bosnian pretender in your avatar lid.LOL
Thank God.
