I'm going for a prediction of eight pints of strong lager on promotion at £2 and in bed by 9pm. Meanwhile Lampard will have "underperformed" once again in international tournament football with the journos still describing it as underperformance rather than a normal performamce as per his past standards.

Hopefully it's going to be a game right up there with the other classic encounters.

I'd really love it if we put it right up them. 2-0 would be perfect.

Hopefully Rooney can play like he was 3 months back and we scare the [Poor language removed] out of them on every attack.

from my stand point im a big a fan of the national team as i am the toffeemen. So just like my club side i will be highly critical of england if theyre playin gash in comparrison to other major nations. Thats not being anti english thats just being honest.

And if im being honest the last time i saw england play awesome football in a big tournament was against holland in euro 96.

I feel its quite ridiculous to strengthen a claim to wanting to support a football club because you're proud of a war the English won.
I am equally as proud too, but not proud of Mr Nightclub boxer Gerrard, or Wife Sh@gger Terry - or drugs cheat Rio, or Brothel boy Rooney. The list is endless, but hey - we all have our demons and skeletons in the closet, i just think it's a low blow to use the War and peoples proud memories of the War as stick to beat people with.

I must have missed something here? right?

I like the German people I've met but want England to win. Be watching it at home or maybe in a bar. Got to go with the Argies against Mexico for the sake of my marriage. The fireworks will start if we do get through for a face off with La Mano De Dios. I know loads of Argentinians so I might run the gauntlet and watch it with them. Should be interesting.

you been over to Argentina J.M. ? strikes me as a place i'd like to see and not iver expensive to get to, in fact considering the distance it's better value than europe a lot of the time, Buenos Aires looks like a great city...... and very safe.

I'm not JM, but few years back i drove from Santiago Chile down South about as far as one can, took a ferry then drove some more south then back up through Argentina (Biarloche, etc)

I would do it again in a second. Beautiful country, very very cheap since their money collapsed, women so pretty that i could stare at them all day and of course scenery out of this world.

Err, yes. 1998. Only in BA for a few days but it is fab. I was in Mar Del Plata (My wife's home town) the rest of the month and it is also very nice. Great people. very friendly and knowledgeable on any subject under the sun. High level of spoken English, Gorgeous women and boss food. Would like to see more of it. The Iguazu falls up north and Barriloche down south are on my hit list. Along with virtually every woman I saw
An old school friend of my wife's works as a cameraman for a sports channel and he took me to see the Argentina under 20 team play Denmark. Cambiasso got the only goal. He was the playmaker back then
