@Ashtonian : can you elaborate re your big seat issues as it is causing much discussion over in the cladding thread.
Is the seat actually broken/shattered or is it just the seat securing fixture that is loose and needs replacing?

the seat isn't connected to the toilet no. It is the thing it should be attached to that keeps it on the toilet that is the thing that is troublesome.


side note, when are they building the everton shed in the car park?

Not sure. The thread devoted to the refurb of GP has become mostly dedicated to news regarding your toilet seat.
PS thanks for clearing up the bog uncertainty. One or two on here were labouring under the misconception that your seat itself was broken ( as in pieces). You might want to go into the cladding thread and disabuse them of such notion
