1998 and I was on vacation with Mrs B (the first one). Cracking trip, on a Honda XJR1200 riding from south of France up to Cherbourg in 12 days. Stopped one night in the Pyrenees, Bagnes du Luchon. Right up in the mountains. We stayed at this old hotel. I didn't notice it til the next day but a few antiques around like sewing machines. Clearly some history to the place but I don't know it.

Anyway, we had a pleasant evening (I wasn't pissed, had to ride the next morning) but in the middle of the night was this massive storm. Worst thunder and lightning I think I've ever seen. Would be about 3am and it was such a storm I thought I've got to get out of bed and take a look. We were on a floor one level up, I opened the curtains and it was madness of a storm. But in the courtyard I saw the figure of a young woman, early 20s, wearing old style dress, working from place to place, like in a triangle. I thought "holy cow, that's a ghost". So I went back to bed.

Then I questioned myself about what I'd seen so I went and looked again. She was still there, working from station to station, in turn. Sewing machine kind of thing. a few seconds fiddling in one place before she moved to the next. I looked for a while to be sure. I thought that if I ever told what I saw I had to be sure. And I was 100%. So I went back to bed.

Then I thought I've got to be really really sure, so I went and looked again. Same thing. But this time she looked up and saw me. I looked at her and she at me, straight at me. Then she moved quickly towards the door to the hotel, I knew she was coming up. I have never been so scared. Like a child I got into bed and pulled the sheet over my head. About 15 seconds later, time it would take someone to walk from where she was, I felt the room go cold, really cold. I know she was in the room.

I wasn't drunk, I don't do drugs, I know what I saw and I'll never be so scared as that moment when she looked straight at me.
 


Not really ghostly but I know someone who absolutely swears blind he was chased by a panther/big cat that was black in he other side of a fence whilst out running. Blokes got zero sense of humour and wouldn’t lie about or embellish anything. Did some googling and he’s not the only one in that area either. This was in the UK btw

Big cat stories been going around in the UK for decades. It's entirely possible, animals escaping captivity etc.
