The wide forward positions are looking a lot more healthy. Rodríguez may go, bit I’m not certain, so we may need another one for the right.

CM looks thin. I can see only Allan, Doucoure, Gbamin and Davies being used. The club seem to be trying to move Delph and Gomes on. However, Iwobi may get used centrally as a 10.

Still need a right back.

It seems likely that Kean and Tosun will go, so we will need another forward.

At CB I can only see one out one in happening. We’re ok numbers wise.

A lot depends on who leaves.

Yes I think so. Depending on who leaves we need maybe two CM’s.

We definitely need a RB.

Having played only one game so it's only a small sample pool this is what I think.

GK
Pickford, Begovic, Virginia.
It looks like Virginia is going out on loan and Tyrer is being promoted to first team squad in place. I'm reasonably happy with this all things considered. Would have preferred a slightly stronger 2nd choice but it is what it is.

RB
Kenny, Coleman.
Kenny needs to be sold or loaned out I this isn't possible and we need a new first choice with Coleman as back up.

LB
Digne, Nkounkou.
If Nkounkou is deemed ready to be back up I'm comfortable here. If they are going to use Delph or Godfrey here when Digne is unavailable ahead of Nkounkou we need to loan Nkounkou out and bring in a suitable back up.

CB
Holgate, Keane, Mina, Godfrey, Branthwaite.
If we has to go with this it wouldn't be the end of the world but we need Mina and Godfrey fit for the majority of games. Ideally Holgate or preferably Keane get sold and we replace with a decent left footer who can ideally play alongside either Mina or Godfrey. If we are going to consider 5 at the back keep Branthwaite if not send him on another loan making sure it's somewhere he'll get game time.

DM, CM, AM
Allan, Delph, 31yo, Doucoure, James, Gomes, Gbamin, Davies.
I'm counting James in this category as if he does play number 10 will be his likely position. For the 2 more defensive positions I think we need 5 players of the right quality. Ideally move Delph out and replace him with someone who can stay fit. If James is moved in we need another AM in as our other option is currently unavailable.

FW
Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin, Gray, Townsend, Iwobi, Gordon, Kean, Tosun, Broadhead, Simms.
If Kean stays I'm happy with central options as we have DCL, Kean and Richarlison can switch inside. On the left I'm also happy as we have Richarlison, Gray and I'd keep Gordon as he also gives us an additional option at AM whilst we have a player unavailable. On the right ideally we could do with another left footed player to compete with Townsend. Iwobi still needs gone, Tosun is injured and unwanted, Broadhead isn't good enough so should have been released, Simms isn't ready and probably falls into the same category as Broadhead.

So in summary we need RB, RF. If we sell a CB (Keane or Holgate) and CM (Delph) they need replaced. Also if we lose James and Kean they need replaced.

I think the current squad as it is could finish anywhere from 8th-14th.
