First time in years I actually think the size of the squad is appropriate. Defence is actually horrid but midfield and attack aren't too bad at all.
Weakest areas are at centre half (one injury and we are so, so screwed), GK cover, and left-back, which have to be priorities. Could do with another CDM as well and probably a right back, both longer-term targets (although contrary to opinion I actually think Patterson is good enough).
One year we are lacking in defensive options, then it's attacking options, so this year it is defensive options. Can't we just have a lean, well-balanced squad please. Why is that so hard
