Going on to say he wasn’t arsed about winning as he’d already been paid just dosent sit well with me.
Certainly explains some of his performances like.

Exactly this, I saw it as McIlroy just highlighting the competitive aspect of the sport. I mean if you were already paid then why try, this is what could very much likely happen in this new tour, a few players just turning up and not giving a crap. It doesn't sit right with us but I hope it doesn't sit right with him and some of the other high profile players, maybe this is why he is public about these appearance bonuses.

That was obviously one of the many dodgy unofficial streams that were airing. The official one has been working surprisingly perfectly well since 2pm GMT

Everything that is wrong with elite sportsmen these days, contract signed not arsed just go through the motions.

Even with all his character flaws, that’s something I will always admire about Tiger. The pursuit of excellence/winning burned bright and hot even with all the money/accolades. Like Michael Jordan in that way.
Some of these younger golfers are getting so much in endorsements in their 20s and their games seem to seriously stagnate

I wouldn't sleep on Burns. He's been playing very good golf when he makes the cut for the last year. He just didn't stack all the wins up in a row the way Scheffler did (or win a major).

There's some really solid players on the edges of things too - I really like Smalley and Burns
