Last time I bet on The Open was Port Rush 2019. I had Lowry and Tommy, both win only. Unfortunately I cashed out on Lowry by mistake but, luckily, deliberately cashed out on Tommy when I sensed he was going to fall away, as he did, coming 2nd to Lowry by six strokes. Could kick myself for not paying proper attention over Lowry!

McIlroy's irons haven been exceptional so far today. Rahm absolutely destroying Hoylake today as well. Pressure on Harmon sitting there waiting to play.

Harman will need to score in these soft conditions. If he doesn't, the field should make up a ton of ground. McIlroy's flat stick seems a touch questionable, but with him striping it off the tee and throwing darts with the irons, he can make a run today. There's a 62 out there on this course. Even if Rahm doesn't drain this putt on 17, an eagle at the last would still get him there.
17 tee has turned into a better-behaved 16 at Phoenix, which is great. I have the main broadcast on the TV, and the website's par-3 channel (which mostly shows 17) on one of my monitors. Great way to watch this. Never have to suffer a commercial.

Harmon has blown a major before so if someone can get to within a shot or two it'll be interesting to see how he does.

Most players boot one before they win one. I would expect him to be fine today, unless his flat stick deserts him. What will be interesting is the weather tomorrow. Harman is a good player in adverse conditions, but this level of pressure coupled with the disasters that lurk on 17 and 18 will keep everyone within a few strokes in it until the last.

Very. He scrambled like a demon in the first two rounds. That missed putt at the first is not a good sign. Not hitting the irons well, either. Could be a long day.
Matt Fitzpatrick's brother Alex also had quite the round with a 65. Bet he's off to give his older brother some guff.
McIlroy playing tee to green like he could shoot 10 under. Putting like 2 over..Que sera.
