Scheffler is a machine, just unreal in all conditions. At this point in time it would not surprise me if he won all 4 majors, with a few tournaments in between.

He has the perfect mentality to stay at the top, as it obviously means a lot to him to win the big ones but at the same time you can easily see him simply going home and nobody even knowing he lost, played awful, etc.

Aberg's personality and character impressed me as well, just seemed to be smiling after every hole, regardless of what he did on it.

Another disappointing performance from McIlroy. The second round just destroyed any positivity of finally getting a first round under par. PGA at a course he has won at, so that is definitely something he can lean on.

Great summary mate. Rory only really excels in soft, little wind conditions. He is not able to scramble like Rahm, Smith and Scheffler, when the conditions are more challenging. Scheffler before this tournament was averaging 67.4 on the pga tour. He missed a 5 foot putt on the last,in his last tournament that would likely have seen him win his last 4 tournaments. Of course he doesn’t have the longevity of Tiger, but he’s setting similar standards and is certainly better off the tee than Tiger was. His only challenge moving forwards can be a rejuvenated Rory. There was some positive signs, but he needs more than one session with Butch Harman to close the gap. Time will tell if he does.

Watched almost every bit of it due to some time off (sadly the garden still hasn’t been tidied). Thoroughly enjoyed it. The Masters app is unreal too as a secondary screen. Brilliantly done and free.

Would have preferred some more tension over the closing holes, but you have to respect the sheer focus and dominance, and from what I’ve heard since from players and media, he’s a thoroughly nice guy with it. Excellent stuff.

Sometimes it’s just really nice to watch elite sports men and women when you don’t have a team or individual you are desperate to win. A nice change from the sweaty hell that football provides.

Scheffler has turned out to be what everyone thought Jordan Spieth was going to be when he laid down that marker at Augusta. Same home city, close in age, and Spieth is still a quality player but unlikely to be an all time great.

Good luck haven't really played since covid, I should get back into it, I used to hit those 5 or 6 world class shots that kept me going, the other 90 didn't really matter.🤣
😂 My brother has been over from Thailand for the last few months staying with me, he's obsessed with golf and been playing for years and a very decent player, I haven't played for a while untill recently so it's been a massive learning curve trying to get back into it, can only dream about the 5 or 6 world class shots a round tbh at the moment! 😅
