Other than their commercial success they did some great covers, you're correct regarding Jimmy Lea some good bass playing on this track,one of my fave bands from the 70's .
Went to see them in 1974 at the Mountford hall up at the Uni, cost me 30 bob, a weeks paperound money

Saw them, Jimmy Lea is a brilliant trained violinist. His electric violin solo
was a highlight for me

usually in threads of this ilk someone will mention This Mortal Coil's cover of Song to the Siren, which is someway to being the ultimate cover, but This Mortal Coil were basically a covers band knocked together by the head of 4AD records using their artist repertoire.

I like that 'sound of silence' by disturbed, no doubt did a good cover of 'it's my life' by talk talk. Nirvana covering 'the man who sold the world' is one of my all time favourites.

This is probably my favourite cover ever, arrangement is genius.

The elongated right thumb with the four-inch nail at the tip is freaking me out.

Great cover. A beautiful arrangement that reminds me of Newton Faulkner.
