Sailing by Rod Stewart originally by Sutherland Bros.

Dear Prudence by Souxsie and the Banshees. Beatles song.

Russ Ballad had two big songs covered by Rainbow.Since you've been gone &
I Surrender.

Ride like the wind by Christopher Cross covered by Saxon

Other than their commercial success they did some great covers, you're correct regarding Jimmy Lea some good bass playing on this track, one of my fave bands from the 70's .
Went to see them in 1974 at the Mountford hall up at the Uni, cost me 30 bob, a weeks paperound money:)

Saw them, Jimmy Lea is a brilliant trained violinist. His electric violin solo
was a highlight for me

usually in threads of this ilk someone will mention This Mortal Coil's cover of Song to the Siren, which is someway to being the ultimate cover, but This Mortal Coil were basically a covers band knocked together by the head of 4AD records using their artist repertoire.

The one posted is brilliantly done and completely different to the original done by colourbox
