What confuses me here is why evertonians can't see why this is a good thing but she can. It's so cheap to do and good for business in the short term that it's a no brainer.

I think the vast majority of Evertonians welcome the freshening up of the ground. It's no good sitting back and saying there's no point spending money on the ground cos we're moving. We're going to still be at Goodison for 3-5 years and a bit of TLC is definitely well overdue. Whatever it costs, it's a pittance when we think about massive TV deals and billionaire owners. Get it done

Here's why it needs to be done:-

I live 2 minutes away from the ground and my wife hates it. She'll make a comment about how ugly it is on a daily basis. She has no interest in football whatsoever but she hit the nail on the head last week. She said 'why would anyone come to the city and see this? Why would anyone wanna buy shares or invest in that when they can cross the park and go to Anfield.'

She's made up that we won't have to drive past an eyesore of a building with rusty metal sheets hanging over goodison road. As I said she has no interest in football but she understands aesthetics and the importance of first appearances/impressions. What confuses me here is why evertonians can't see why this is a good thing but she can. It's so cheap to do and good for business in the short term that it's a no brainer.
Absolutely spot on.

It is the perception we hold for ourselves that will then influence the perception of others.

Mr Moshiri clearly has pride and doesn't want his club's current stadium looking run down.

I definitely wouldn't put up with anyone complaining about Goodison on a daily basis and then suggesting that Anfield is better.

Sorry about your marriage.

She's right. Love is blind, but for those just a bit interested appearance is everything........

Everton Moments

Fan images and memories will form a key aspect of this summer’s stadium revamp project.

Supporters have been at the heart of the project from the outset, with the Fans’ Forum heavily involved in the design process for the proposed changes to the exterior of the stadium that have been submitted to Liverpool City Council for planning approval.

But it is not just the exterior of the stadium that will be transformed as part of the project - and the Club and the Fans' Forum want your help.

New concourse artwork will be unveiled for the 2016/17 season, with supporters playing a pivotal role in the artwork that will be created.

Your favourite Goodison memories, Everton stories and your favourite photos of life as a Blue could help form part of the new artwork that will be used in and around the Grand Old Lady for the forthcoming season.

And not only can you become part of the fabric of the stadium, every memory or photo you share with the Club will give you the chance of being entered into a prize draw to win a 16/17 home shirt signed by our new manager, Ronald Koeman.

But the biggest prize of all must surely be the opportunity to be a part of the revamp project. By submitting a memory or a photo, you will form a key part of the changes being planned for the new campaign.

So dig out your most cherished photos – the images that illustrate most perfectly your love and affinity for Goodison and the Blues. Then you have a couple of options. You can upload your photos below or, alternatively, you can share your photo with the Club’s official Twitteraccount, @everton, using #EvertonMoments.

And it is not just photos we are looking for. We also want your written memories of being a Blue, of coming to the game - funny stories or amazing anecdotes that are special to you, moments that define why you are an Evertonian.

We want you to define why Goodison means so much to you. A story or recollection that is unique. To share your memories with us - and give yourself another chance of winning that shirt signed by Ronald Koeman – simply complete one or all parts of the form below.
