Crunched my knee doing squats few days ago, it clicks now and feels stiff. Hurts lil bit but not really. What have I done gym people.

If something is going to potentially shortener your longevity as a lifter, then the question is should you do them at all?
I'd argue there are things you can do that pose a lower, if no risk at all, to your longevity in lifting and sports.
But surely then everything is a risk with overuse, albeit slightly less because they won't cover such a large area as your back. I do abs once a week and never get back pain. I think I'm relatively safe.
