whats the best diet lean whey protein on the market?

Don't worry about diet shakes. If you get a supplement that has different protein peptides with BCAA's you'll be good to go. I use a product called Dedicated Fusion Pro. It's perfect for repairing muscle tissue and contains minimal carbs.

What are your goals? I'm assuming you want to lose body fat?

Lose body fat is pretty straight forward isn't it? Cardio and just don't eat as much?

You have to eat but change what and how you eat. Less carbohydrates but not too much to make you feel lethargic. I advise to slowly cut the carbs until you start to notice a weight loss of 1ib per week. Still eat food that contain Essential fatty acids and minimal saturated fats.

Don't live on shakes, they're just a supplement for post workout. Tuna and eggs are the cheapest, most effective form of protein that cost very little

20 minutes of cardio AFTER a weight training session. Nothing too much, when training with weights keep your rep range between 12-15.

I have been doing some HIT training after my workout. 30 seconds running 30 seconds rest. start the tread mill on a speed of 9 and an incline of 1 and put it up 1 for evey sprint. (incline stops about 2-3). i try to get up to 20 speed.

Just signed up for a charity bike ride - London to Paris in May 2014 - need to get into some serious training.........

My three top tips for this (assuming you're coming at it as a relative novice):

1) Ride your bike as much as possible. Scheduled training plans tend to work if you can either commute on a decent route, cycle after work or have a turbo trainer at home. As it's winter and you're London based, it's probably more realistic to simply get as much riding in as possible whenever you can fit it in. Doing some longer rides will help you with pacing yourself as well.

2) Practice riding in a group. You save lots of energy by riding behind another rider, but it can take a bit of practice to do so confidently. There are various hand signals for instance that are commonly used for lead riders to alert those behind of upcoming hazards. http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/insightzone/features/article/izn20121221-group-ride-0 covers the main ones.

3) Think about nutrition. Riding for that distance you'll need to eat on the move. Everyone is different here so you might benefit from trying out various things before the event to see what food you enjoy/can consume whilst on the move. Last thing you want are cramps because something doesn't agree with you.

Sorry if any of that has been teaching you to suck eggs :)

Here's a question for you folks. I have a resting heart beat of around 40 a minute, and my hands and feet get cold pretty quickly. Is that a natural consequence of the low heart rate or some issue with my circulation?
