Back to it tonight for me for a mega chest and triceps session. Haven't trained since Thursday as a reoccurring issue with my neck cropped up again where it randomly stiffens up and gives horrible pain down my left trap. I think though now that it's a nerve issue and not muscular, so have booked in with a therapist who deals with these types of sports related injuries - hope he can sort it so that i can press on properly with my strength training.
Are you that Giraffe from the other thread lad ?

I'm no expert, but I believe you need heavy weights with a low number of reps to put on bulk. 6-8 reps, max, and you need to work out at least 3 times a week.

BUT you need to work your way up to this.. Start with light/medium weights at 20 reps for the first couple of weeks, otherwise the DOMS will kill you!

That'd be neural adaptations. Should be 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps for hypertrophy.

my diet usually consists of loads of ryvita, and tuna and mayo with chopped up red onion, thats my healthy feed up like.

as healthy as it gets?

It's the opposite, moderate weight and higher reps 10-12's

Lower reps build strength

no fruit and veg mate ??? I know onion counts like but you could do with some leafy greens or fibrous cauli/broc

Aldi have tins of tuna for 49p mate

healthy snacks like an apple or a banana old chum, handful of raisins ??? what are you buying BLF ???

On to it mate, I love Aldi! The sardines and mackerel is cheap too. I eat bananas and apples, raisins and nuts for snacks, things like that. I seem to be spending most of my money on chicken and granola, probably about £10 a week on that alone. Like Bry I'll snack on Ryvita and cottage cheese too. I need to eat more fruit and veg though.
