Do it, but don't blame me!

Last night i did leg's in a PT session. It consisted of a lot of squats building the weight up with working sets at 3 reps, then some safety bar squats, good mornings etc. Then we did some incline leg press again building the weight up to 6 plates a side, finished off with a dropset from 7 plates down to 0 working to failure at each level (though i hold my hands up and admit that i had to get them to go straight from 5 plates to 3 - total agony). I came off that machine on a whitey, i **** you not. I was ready to throw up. I stumbled up from the machine and practically fell over!

He didn't let it stop there though, straight in to hamstrings and calfs to finish off with rest pause sets (3 sets, 10 deep breaths between sets) to failure.

It took me a good two hours to start feeling normal again :blink:
 

Did a mountain bike orienteering event today in the Peak - did OK, picked a good route but fuming over a simple navigation error that cost me 10 mins. Legs are mashed atm - some hard climbs out there and the trails were in a rough state with the wet n warm winter we've had.
 
Joined a new gym, exercise 4 less. No pool but I screwed them down on price to 9.99 per month and 2 free months on a 12 month contract.

Loads of free weights so I'm happy, plus quite a few tidy birds were in this morning. Winner.
 

Strongman events training went well yesterday. My second ever go at Yolk and feel quite happy with the 225Kg for 20meters a couple of times which felt pretty good, also timed a 200kg farmers walk for 20m at just over 14 seconds, and then managed to shift a 120kg atlas stone on to platform at the first time of asking :hayee:

That'll do me for my third session!

Chest and triceps tonight at the gym, going for a volume session with a 80% 1rm to get the blood flowing through.

Had a weekend off..... Got a constant pain right down my left leg from my buttock down to my ankle.... Could be sciatic I'm told.... I've got football training later so I'll see how it feels after that.

Gotta listen to your body, dude. When something hurts, that's not right, so rest up. I've been struggling with a toe problem myself recently, so I had to cut back on the running for the last couple of weeks. Much better now.

Today was supposed to be rest day, but I had a little jog and then a plyometric session. Really good. Now for some stretches and roller..

Just hacksaw the toe off, problem solved.
