I completely agree. If you go personally, I would have Austin (who would probably have a mountain of his own for me), The Rock, Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior. But then, if you start marking people on their capabilities as a wrestler, Hogan would be nowhere near it. Hogan had probably the biggest role in bringing American wrestling to a global audience. But then again, Vince himself could have a case to be on Rushmore if you were to really focus on that single criteria. The Rushmore is a personal thing for me and, for what it's worth, this is mine:
Austin
Rock
Hart
Undertaker
All coincidentally from the same era and company, but that was the only era and company I knew. Jericho is the first wrestler to make me reconsider this list in a long long time
I know Warrior is an out there choice but same as you I grew up watching WWF and when I started watching it he was my hero. Now I know he was an awful wrestler and seems to have been a pretty horrible person too. But they are the 4 that I’ve been the biggest fans of when I was younger and watched a lot of wrestling.
The first PPVs I remember watching were Survivor Series 90 when Undertaker debuted and Warrior won the final match with Hogan and Santana (I think). And then Wrestlemania 6 when Warrior beat Hogan and had both belts. Was watching them on VHS so weren’t in order necessarily. That cemented Warrior for me and as a 5 year old The Undertaker was something else.
I remember being so excited when Warrior came back against HHH and then basically just disappearing again.
